Boca Juniors president Daniel Angelici has revealed that his side are still awaiting the payment for Carlos Tevez’s transfer to Shanghai Shenhua in December last year.

The Chinese Super League outfit signed the 34-year-old striker on a two-year deal whilst making him one of the highest paid players in the world.

Although the transfer sum was not disclosed by either side, media outlets in Argentina have revealed that Boca settled for around €16m. Carlos Tevez not rejoining Boca Juniors anytime soon

Boca Juniors president Daniel Angelici has confirmed that Carlos Tevez will not be returning to his hometown club anytime soon.

The Shanghai Shenhua forward is currently back in Argentina where he has been allowed to treat his calf problem. The 33-year-old is expected back in full training with Shanghai on August 30th.

Tevez has had a tough period since his move to the Chinese Super League, and this led to talk over a potential return to Boca Juniors this summer. However, Angelici appears to have dismissed chances of that happening while tweeting a photograph sitting together with Tevez on a bench, with the message: “I spent the afternoon with Carlitos and his family after several months. We spoke about his present in China and his future. He is not coming back for now but I trust that one day he will wear the Boca Juniors jersey again.”

The former Manchester United and Manchester City star only joined Shenhua in December last year, and his representative Adrian Ruocco has revealed that he cannot exercise a release clause in his contract until he completes the first year of his deal. Carlos Tevez gets slammed for walking on the pitch

Former Manchester United and Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has been slammed for his visible lack of effort during a recent Chinese Super League game for Shanghai Shenhua.

The Argentina international opted to snub advances from ex-club West Ham United in order to bag the riches from the Far East in December last year.

Tevez is currently the highest paid players in world football with a staggering wage package of £634,000-a-week, and such a sum would require a player to at least give his 80 percent for the club. However, the Argentine appeared to remain standstill for a moment as he allowed the play to bypass against fellow league club Tianjin Teda.

The video went viral on social media, and fans on Twitter criticised the 33-year-old after he was doing nothing on the playing field despite being paid lump sums of money, Chris Atter tweeted: “pay me £10k a month and I’d happily put Carlos Tevez out of a job. I’d break my back for that kind of money #lazy.” Read more Carlos Tevez gets slammed for walking on the pitch

Argentine Carlos Tevez has turned out not to be the highest paid footballer in the world as widely reported.

No doubt he earns the mouth and eye watering salary but his international teammate Ezekiel Lavezzi trumps him in pay-out.

The striker started from his home country before he moved to England. After his sojourn at West Ham, Manchester United and Manchester City, he moved to the Serie A where he continued his illustrious career with Juventus.

He returned home in 2015 but after two and a half seasons at home, he could no longer say no to the huge salary he Chinese were flaunting. He agreed to the move to the Far East and the move was celebrated all over the world as he was set to earn the highest salary offered to a footballer on the planet.

Tevez signed with Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua and has been playing. However, the latest report from Football Leaks shows that Lavezzi receives way more than the Argentine.

While Tevez is earning a whopping £634,615 per week, Lavezzi receives £798,000 per week playing for Hebei China Fortune. Read more TEVEZ IS APPARENTLY NOT HIGHEST PAID FOOTBALLER

Two of the biggest football stars that moved to China Carlos Tevez and Oscar made their debut for their respective clubs.

Shanghai Shenhua’s start with Tevez did not exactly go as they would want as they lost the AFC Champions League to Brisbane Roar. On the other hand, the Brazilian started well with Shanghai SIPG.

One Weibo post reads: “What is the point of hiring expensive foreign coaches when they are no better than the ones who were already there.” This echoed the popular sentiment from the fans, based on the traction it received. Many blamed Coach Gustavo Poyet for the loss of Shenhua to Roar at the AFC Championship.

Many focused on the addition of Argentina international and world record salary earner Tevez, ignoring the match against Roar. Many criticized his move to the country as he was past his prime and others battled if he was worth the salary he is being paid.

The AFC Champions League playoff is an single-legged affair and Shenhua lost it in front of their fans at the Hongkou Stadium. Carlos Tevez Dismisses Suggestions of £600,000 a Week Wages

Carlos Tevez has dismissed claims that he is the world’s best paid player.

The Argentine striker became the latest high profile him to join the Chinese Super League. He decided to leave Boca Juniors, a club which he adores, for Shanghai Shenhua. Even though the transfer fee was only reported to be around £ 10 million, it is rumoured that the player has become the highest-paid player in the world at wages of around £ 30 million per year. Chinese clubs have been on an extraordinary spending spree in January and they have recently brought in Oscar for £ 60 million.

For a brief period, the former Chelsea midfielder was one of the highest earning players at around £ 20 million per season. It did not take long for Tevez to overtake the 25-year-old on this front. Former Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez could have been one of the highest earning footballers if he had agreed to a move to play in the Chinese Super League.

The Argentine could have been the world’s best-paid footballer had he agreed to the move, according to Marca. The Premier League veteran would be turning 33 in two months yet the player still has different offers on the table.

Chinese clubs have shown they can spend the money like they did in deals for former Chelsea player Ramires and others like Jackson Martinez, Alex Teixiera and the rest. Marca claims that a Chinese side was ready to pay Tevez as much as €40 million in annual salary for his services. Top earning footballers like Lionel Messi earn in the region of €25 million but El Apache as he is fondly called would have earned 60 percent more than them all, Yahoo Sports Brazil claims.

Shanghai SIPG offered the ex-Hammers player a deal worth €22 million earlier this year but Tevez said no. He opted to remain at Boca Juniors but there are still rumours that the player could make the move just before he hangs up his boot. Italy international Graziano Pelle left the Premier League to play in Shandong Luneng for €16 million in annual wages, while Argentina international Ezequiel Lavezzi, Ramires and Ghanian Asamoah Gyan are collecting circa €13 million per year

Brazilian club Palmeiras are reportedly interested in signing Tevez. Tevez so far has been a good influence at Boca Juniors, captaining the side. Whilst they are not enjoying a sterling season this term, they have been quite decent. Tevez has been an inspiration off and on the field, with him recently condemning the celebration of teammate Teo Gutierrez who danced provocatively in front of opposing fans.

Carlos Tevez is not retiring, according to his agent

At the end of September, Carlos Tevez stated that he was thinking about hanging up his boots and retiring on December of the ongoing year as the Argentine player said:

‘’This is tiring. I will be talking with my family and with the people I need to talk to. Yes, I would consider retirement but I would like to play for the rest of my life with this club. I enjoy football but not everything that surrounds it. “There is a possibility I could quit at the end of the year. I’m thinking about it.”

Carlos Tevez released that statement in a fairly heated moment as he had been involved with an incident where he received a 3 match ban after having protested and opposed a football authority.

The 32 year old player went on saying that Argentine football has many weaknesses and one of these was the lack of organization which forces clubs to not know about when matches are going to be played and Tevez had a few more complaints and reasons as to why he might be retiring in December of 2016.

However, according to the agent of Carlos Tevez, Kia Joorabchian has denied those statements as Kia said that the veteran player can sometimes say things that he does not really intend on actually doing as the Iranian – born football agent said: Read more Carlos Tevez is not retiring, according to his agent
