Tevez admits European return is a possibility

Carlos Tevez completed his move to Boca Juniors on June of 2015 as he made a return to his childhood club where he used to perform with during the earlier stages of his career.

The veteran striker is a consistent starter in Boca Juniors which is fairly impressive considering that he is the 2nd oldest player of the entire squad but Tevez has still managed to secure a consistent spot in the starting lineup of the manager Guillermo Barros Schelotto.

Even though Carlos Tevez is an important player for Boca Juniors and a regular starter, when Tevez was recently questioned about the possibility of seeing him performing in a European club, he replied by saying that playing in the Spanish league is something which he never fulfilled but wants to accomplish. It looks like this is set to become one of the biggest transfer rumours of the summer.

“Yes, the Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone called me and it was a prospect that really excited me. Playing in Spain is one of the things missing from my career, but I couldn’t say no to Boca at that stage. I could have played in Spain for a couple of years. I knew that Athletic would be challenging for the league title and the Champions League. That offer from Athletic was the only one I had from Spain in my last year in Europe. Real Madrid had been interested previously.” Carlos Tevez said as he revealed details concerning a tempting offer that was released by Athletic but even with this job offer, Tevez still opted to join Boca Juniors.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus are the biggest European clubs where Carlos Tevez has performed. 2 of those clubs are from the English Premier League and 1 of them is in the Italian Serie A. One of the top European leagues that Tevez has not performed in but would like to is in Spain.

However, the Argentinean attacker did admit in saying that he wants to focus on winning titles with Boca Juniors and he does not have any real reason of leaving them anytime soon.
