ELANGA BACKED TO BE THE NEXT TEVEZ AT UNITED

Manchester United’s Young striker Anthony Elanga has been tipped to have a bright future at Old Trafford and to also work towards fulfilling his huge potential as well. The youngster is one of the brightest prospects at the club’s youth academy at the moment and he’s been making a lot of waves since making his debut for the senior team at the end of last season. Elanga played his first professional match for the first team in their final fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers – a match which the Red Devils won by a scoreline of 2-1, with Elanga finding the back of the net in one of the two goals United scored at the Molineux.

United manager Olé Gunnar Solksjær has continued the club’s tradition of giving youth a chance to showcase their talents and prove that the youth academy is fully functional and Elanga is one of those players who have proven that. With two goals to his name in pre-season, the young striker is still making a huge statement and is also keen to give Solksjær some selection headache ahead of the new season.

His abilities have been analyzed by former United defender Rio Ferdinand and the former England international central defender has tipped the teenage sensation to develop into a bullish and strong striker like Carlos Tevez. The former United striker was known to be a very prolific goalscorer as he knew the art of getting into the right position at the right time. However, he left Old Trafford in a rather controversial manner but it has not stopped Ferdinand from insisting that he spent a lot of successful moments at United before his fans-angering move to Manchester City.

Ferdinand says Elanga has the qualities to be a top striker and he should just continue working hard to make sure that he fulfills his potential to the fullest.
