Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has said that the arrival of Carlos Tevez back into the Manchester City squad will make a huge difference in the remainder of the Premier league matches. City are currently in the second position in the table after having lost their lead, which they held since November, to Manchester United recently.
The 1-0 loss to Swansea coupled with the Manchester United win helped their arch rivals move one point clear of them at the top of the table. Speaking after the 2-1 win over Chelsea, star striker Sergio Aguero said that he expects Carlos Tevez to make a big impact on the squad and the results in the remainder of the matches.
Mancini recently drafted Tevez back into the squad, and introduced him as a substitute in the match against Chelsea recently. Manchester City were trailing the match 1-0, but following the introduction of the Argentine striker, they managed a comeback 2-1 win over the London team. Aguero has been the leading goal scorer for City this season with 24 goals. However, he has said that Carlos Tevez has a crucial role to play in the remaining matches of the season. City are hoping to win their first title since 1968.
“Carlos is a key player because he’s got five years’ experience of playing in the Premier League. We have a lot of good players here and he is one other player, but he will be very important to us because he’s one in a long list of top quality players at this club,” Agüero said after the match. City will be making the trip to Stoke City during the weekend, while Manchester United are at home to Fulham. United are certainly have the easier fixtures from now till the end of the season.
