CITY HAPPY TO SELL

Manchester City are willing to sell star striker Carlos Tevez in a bid to balance the books, which would also see the arrival of Arsenal striker Robin van Persie. The 28-year-old Dutchman has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City, who are prepared to spend big on the Dutchman. However, in order to do that they need to clear out some of the players who are already present at the club. The likes of Emmanuel Adebayor, Santa Cruz, and Carlos Tevez will be sold in the summer in order to reduce the wage bill of the club, which is now more than the turnover of the club.

Due to the UEFA financial restrictions coming into play, Manchester City will not be able to compete in the Champions League if they do not reduce the losses. Carlos Tevez has had a chequered history with the Manchester club. Even though he has been instrumental in helping the club win the Premier league title and also the FA Cup, he has also caused a lot of troubles during his time at Manchester. As a result, Manchester city manager Roberto Mancini is willing to sell the player, with AC Milan showing tremendous interest.

The Italian club could have signed the Argentine as early as last season, but they were not prepared to offer Manchester City a transfer fee. They were only interested in a loan deal, which was of no interest to the Premier league club. As a result, talks between the clubs stalled. Now that AC Milan have lost the star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, they’re looking to replace him with the services of Carlos Tevez. As a result, the thought to be preparing a bid for the 28-year-old Argentine, who has openly expressed that he would welcome a move to Italy.
