Conte respects Tevez decision to stay at Boca

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte said that he respected Carlos Tevez decision to remain at Boca Juniors. He said this after Carlos Tevez revealed that the new Chelsea manager wants to sign him for Chelsea. Conte admitted that Chelsea had made a bid for the player, but the striker has said that he intends to stay with Boca Juniors and is not interested in playing in Europe.

Tevez stated that his former manager called him personally to convince him to come to England but that at the moment he wants to stay in Argentina and play for Boca Juniors.

There was also news that Napoli were also interested in the former Juventus striker. However, the Napoli board said that Carlos Tevez was demanding too much money and that they were not prepared to meet his requirements.

Antonio Conte stated that he has good experience working with Carlos Tevez when he was managing Juventus. The manager said that Tevez was an incredible player for him when he played with Juventus and that he enjoyed managing him. He stated that Carlos Tevez is not only a talented player but also a great person off the pitch.

He said that he wanted him to come to Chelsea, but the latter has made it clear that he want to play in Argentina. Antonio Conte stated that he respected his decision and that he wish him all the best for the remaining part of his career.

Antonio Conte said that Chelsea has not yet finished their transfer activities and that they are still looking for a quality striker to boost their attacking options next season.
